Los Angeles based Kinda Hibrawi grew up between Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Syria, where she was trained in the traditional art of Arabic calligraphy, before immigrating to the United States. Her paintings celebrate the complexity of Arabic language and the beauty of positive verse. She approaches text and color with a free-flowing style to convey a powerful representation of each word or phrase, exposing the viewer to both traditional and contemporary.
